1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Online Hai collects, uses and shares personal data when you use our website and app. By using Online Hai, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Use.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only in hashed form), account type and preferred language.
- Shop details: for shop owners, the shop name, phone number, address, map location, opening hours, services and prices.
- Order details: items, pickup date and time, pickup address, exact pickup location if you pin it, contact number and notes for the shop.
- Location: your device location, only when you allow it, and the area you choose, which we use to find nearby shops.
- Google sign-in: if you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us. We never see your Google password.
- Technical data: essential cookies, IP address, browser and device type, and basic server logs.
- Notification token: if you turn on notifications, a code from your browser that lets us send order updates to that device.
3. How we use it
- to create and manage your account and let you log in;
- to show nearby shops and send your bookings to the shop you choose;
- to let shops and customers contact each other about orders;
- to keep Online Hai safe, including preventing fraud, spam and data scraping;
- to fix problems and improve Online Hai;
- to follow the law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
5. Shops are responsible for the data they receive
Shops are independent businesses. Once a shop receives your details for an order, it is responsible for how it uses and protects them. Shops must use your details only for your orders, but Online Hai cannot control what they do and is not responsible for it. Please report any misuse to us.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your account details while your account is open. We keep order records for as long as needed for the purposes above and for any period required by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update your details, most of which you can edit from your account;
- ask us to delete your account and data, unless we must keep it by law;
- withdraw your consent, which may mean you can no longer use Online Hai;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf;
- complain to our Grievance Officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, such as hashed passwords, secure connections and hiding shop phone numbers from visitors who are not logged in. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password safe.
10. Children
Online Hai is not meant for children under 18 without a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's data without such consent.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use Online Hai means you accept the updated policy.
